I always enjoy this time of year. The holidays have a way of creating space between meetings and end-of-year reports to pause and reflect on what really matters. This time of year is also a reminder that the best results, whether in our careers or in life, rarely happen in silos.
At Franklin Energy, this past year was filled with meaningful partnerships, complex challenges, and more than a few moments where teamwork made the difference. I also had the chance to celebrate many accomplishments within my own family. As I get older, I find myself appreciating the achievements of others more than my own.
So, in the spirit of good cheer, and questionable holiday jingles, I’m sharing my 12 Days of Reflection, Franklin Energy–style (with a little personal perspective mixed in)
No singing required. But humming is encouraged.
On the First Day of Reflection, I am thankful for…
Our incredible team spirit. Collaboration is what makes challenges feel achievable. To our utility partners, clients, collaborators, and friends—thank you for trusting Franklin Energy. You push us to think bigger, work smarter, and deliver better outcomes.
On the Second Day of Reflection, I am celebrating…
Two-way partnerships. The best programs aren’t built for utilities—they’re built with them. We’re grateful for our clients and partners who challenge us, collaborate with us, and help us do better work every year.
On the Third Day of Reflection, I appreciate…
Programs that deliver. Strong ideas only matter if they work in the real world. Our program delivery teams turn strategy into action—launching, managing, and optimizing programs that actually reach customers and deliver measurable results.
On the Fourth Day of Reflection, I am proud of…
Our growing regional presence. From coast to coast, we’re proud to support utilities, contractors, state energy offices, customers, and communities with local insight and national expertise—no matter the zip code.
On the Fifth Day of Reflection, I celebrate…
Five-star customer experiences. Our delivery only works when people engage. Designing programs that customers actually want to participate in remains one of our favorite, and most important challenges.
On the Sixth Day of Reflection, I am grateful for…
Perspective. As I approach my 19th year at Franklin Energy, I am struck by how far we’ve come since I started in 2007, and how much opportunity lies ahead. Growth doesn’t happen without sacrifice, grit and determination. Some people have stayed, others have moved on, but all have played a role in shaping who we are today. It’s a great industry, and I look forward to many more years ahead… just maybe not 19 more.
On the Seventh Day of Reflection, I recognize…
Strong leadership. Navigating the evolving energy transition market requires adapting to outside forces, advancing programs, and developing team members. Our leadership continues to position Franklin Energy for long-term relevance and success through opportunity, program advancement and strategic initiatives.
On the Eighth Day of Reflection, I am proud of…
Our ability to innovate. Innovation doesn’t always mean shiny and new. Sometimes it’s refining a process, improving communication, or providing a smarter incentive. The work behind the scenes often doesn’t get noticed. Until now.
On the Ninth Day of Reflection, I’m inspired by…
How well our teams work together. Behind every successful program is a group of people who care deeply about getting it right. I’m constantly inspired by the expertise and dedication of my colleagues.
On the Tenth Day of Reflection, I reflect on...
More than 30 years of experience. Long-term partnerships don’t happen by accident. They’re built on transparency, results, trust, and showing up when it matters most.
On the Eleventh Day of Reflection, I am energized by…
The opportunities ahead. The energy landscape is evolving quickly—and that’s exciting. Electrification, decarbonization, and grid modernization bring new challenges- and we’re ready to tackle them together.
On the Twelfth Day of Reflection, an Uno reversal…
I’d love to hear from you. What are you thankful for this year? What has your company—or you personally—accomplished that you’re proud of? Or maybe this is just my way of admitting I ran out of things to say. As we head into the new year, I’m optimistic. Not just about where the energy industry is going, but about how we’ll get there—together.
Utilities face enough complexity. Our goal is simple: to bring strategic consulting, program delivery, design/build, and product solutions together as one trusted partner—so you don’t have to manage them separately.
One Partner. Endless Possibilities.
From all of us at Franklin Energy, wishing you a joyful holiday season and a bright, impactful year ahead.
