This year, our Sustainability Report focuses on our organization’s “purpose-driven impact.” That sounds catchy. It has a nice ring to it. It was obviously thought of by someone much better at writing than I am. And although it’s easy to read these words on the cover of the report and then move on, it’s important to note that this theme deeply reflects the work we do at Franklin Energy.
I say quite often that what sets Franklin Energy apart is that we are purpose-driven at our core. Our people are united by common purpose to better the communities in which we live and the planet. We believe in what we do, and we are proud of the results we achieve. The impact we make—with our clients, the customers that we serve, the communities where we operate, and the planet—is something to be proud of. That impact is the result of all of us, everyone from field technicians to accountants to marketing experts to yours truly, working together to achieve our purpose: to boldly change our energy future. Here’s a glance at how we made a purpose-driven impact this past year:
These numbers are staggering, but, to me, not surprising. We are a team of people dedicated to our purpose, and purpose-driven people settle for nothing less than creating a major impact.
We believe that a purpose-driven impact starts from within the organization and radiates outward, which is why we set and achieved additional goals around safety, DEI&B (diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging) and serving local communities. Looking holistically at all the results from the past year, it’s easy to see the caring, purpose-driven heart of Franklin Energy.
So, how do you sum it all up? Purpose-driven impact. It is because of our purpose that we do what we do. It is because of our purpose that our impact is so significant and spans so broadly. The proof is all there, in our 2023 Sustainability Report. If you’re looking for some inspiration, check it out.
